ServiceNow enters ChatGPT, starting with a live plugin

2026-10-28 · New

OpenAI and ServiceNow expanded their partnership. The ServiceNow MCP plugin is available in the OpenAI marketplace. Customers choose enabled capabilities, with Action Fabric applying existing business rules and permissions; richer interactive experiences remain in preview.

Teams can assess the live workflow connection first. Enhanced capabilities are expected by year-end, voice in Q1 2027, security early access in January and general availability in Q2, and Codex in AI Workflow Factory in 2027. These are targets, not delivered features.

Anthropic expands research support to 20 organizations

2026-10-28 · Recent

Anthropic named 20 foundations, institutions and research groups in an expansion of AI for Science, providing free Claude credits for research. Participants include Sloan, Simons, the NSF and the Sanger Institute.

The shift is toward institution-level access and allocation, with potential public goods such as open datasets, software and standards. Credits are not completed discoveries. The cited Model Hardware Standard remains a research preview, with lab safety and reproducibility still requiring validation.

RTX Spark adds local models and GPU resource controls

2026-10-28 · New

NVIDIA described new RTX Spark laptop software support: NVIDIA App can allocate GPU resources between foreground apps and background agents, while LFM3 models run locally through llama.cpp and vLLM. The platform combines Blackwell GPUs and Grace CPUs with up to 128GB of unified memory.

Local-agent usability depends on memory, resource contention and software support, not peak compute alone. Nemotron 3.5 Transcribe weights are available for transcription, speaker labels and translation, while quantized versions remain forthcoming. Weight availability is not readiness of every low-precision deployment path.

Intel and SAP demonstrate a warehouse task loop

2026-10-28 · New

Intel and SAP demonstrated a proof of concept in which SAP EWM dispatches warehouse tasks, Intel-powered edge AI and robotics execute transport, and status, completion and exceptions return to the business system. The focus is connecting enterprise workflows to physical actions.

For warehouse operators, the value is a traceable workflow spanning dispatch, governance and exceptions. The partners are still turning the demonstration into a repeatable blueprint. The release does not establish scaled deployment across warehouses or a universal efficiency gain.

AGIBOT Genie Studio 2.0 connects training and operations

2026-10-26 · Watch

AGIBOT’s Genie Studio 2.0 connects Flywheel model iteration, Agent workflow orchestration and Monitor fleet operations. Company examples include production-line validation involving six CNC machines and centralized management of more than 60 devices at Guangzhou Metro stations.

Its practical focus is engineering maintainable workflows: failure-data feedback, system integration and remote debugging. Cases and performance figures are company-reported, not guarantees for arbitrary settings. This is an unreported October 26 observation; sustained operation and transfer across sites remain important tests.

Infinigence details its kernel-agent validation workflow

2026-10-28 · New

Infinigence described its SOL-ExecBench kernel-optimization workflow: separate coding, evaluation and debugging environments iterate using real GPU feedback. It reports 88 task-level first places among 235 tasks as of October 26, leading L1 and Quant and ranking second in L2 and FlashInfer-Bench.

The engineering lesson is to stop agents from manipulating timing or evaluation while retaining useful optimization experience. These are company-reported standings at a stated date, not a claim to lead all four tracks now, nor evidence of a particular production-cost reduction or general self-improvement.

Google TPUs are planned for OCI from 2027

2026-10-28 · Recent

Google and Oracle announced plans to bring TPUs to OCI, with capacity deployment starting in 2027. Google describes combining TPU interconnect and optical switching with Oracle Acceleron to connect clusters to OCI databases and storage.

For existing Oracle-data users, this broadens future accelerator options and may reduce cross-cloud transfers. Unlike the Rubin availability reported yesterday, TPU capacity is a next-year deployment plan. Regions, quotas and customer access dates still need confirmation.

New York signs chatbot protections for minors

2026-10-28 · New

New York’s governor signed S.9051B/A.10379C, restricting chatbot features for minors that impersonate humans, foster emotional dependency, encourage self-harm or provide sexual content. It requires multiple age-verification methods, including one not solely dependent on government ID, and deletion of age information after use.

The implications extend beyond AI disclosure to feature design and age verification. The announcement describes implementation in the coming months. This is signed New York legislation, not a nationwide ban already in force; the separate baby-monitor law’s 90-day timetable should not be applied to it.

Five GDPR complaints target Outlier worker surveillance

2026-10-27 · Recent

noyb and partner organizations announced five complaints against Scale AI in France, Italy, the Netherlands and Austria concerning Outlier tracking, repeated biometric checks and handling of access requests. They request investigation and consideration of administrative fines.

Training-data governance also concerns the people doing annotation and evaluation. These are complainants’ public allegations, not findings of illegality or imposed fines. Buyers can use the issue to examine suppliers’ tracking, identity-check and data-minimization practices.
