OpenAI and Oracle expanded their partnership. Oracle AI Workspace is being developed to connect enterprise apps and data to ChatGPT. US Oracle customers can already buy the OpenAI API, Codex and ChatGPT Work through Marketplace using eligible Universal Credits.

The immediate value is simpler procurement and an intended connection to enterprise permissions. Marketplace availability does not mean every announced app is live: the complete Workspace workflow remains a planned experience governed by organizational permissions and approvals.

Claude drug-development cases extend beyond molecule design

The useful signal is workflow improvement across several development stages. These are interim reports from the company and its partners, with most programs still preclinical. Laboratory or document-review results do not establish clinical efficacy or regulatory success.

CPUs handle tool calls, applications and data movement, so buyers should assess them separately from GPU model execution. This is a processor and capacity roadmap, not proof of X14 general availability or a committed delivery date.

Google DeepMind introduced Genie 4 with native audio and real-time text-based scene changes. A demonstration pairs Gemini 4 Argon with Genie 4 to simulate an Apollo humanoid playing checkers. Access is a research preview for trusted testers.

It offers a way to generate robotics scenarios, but the demonstration is simulated, not physical task execution. Long-term consistency, object permanence and complex physics remain limitations; broader Project Genie, Gemini API and AI Studio access is still forthcoming.

Researchers tested pushing a gantry, rotating a box and wiping a board on Unitree G1. FLoRe incorporates hand-force sensing into demonstrations, policy inputs and outputs, and whole-body control. The authors report 24 successes in 30 trials versus 8 in 30 for the position-only baseline.

Contact-rich work requires force and balance control, not just reaching a hand position. This is a small, author-reported preprint experiment; it does not establish generalization to new settings or sustained factory reliability.

Waymo announces expansion across five service areas

Waymo says it will add nearly 250 square miles across Los Angeles, Nashville, Orlando, San Diego and the San Francisco Bay Area over the coming week, including Torrance, La Jolla and a connection to Berryessa Station.

This expands existing networks rather than launching five new cities, and does not mean every additional area is already available. Riders should check the app and service maps for actual pickup boundaries.

Independent CPU and GPU scaling can align resources with agent tool execution and model computation. Evaluate live products separately from future total capacity: an expansion target is not capacity available to rent today.

EU approves EUR319 million in aid for 300 mm power GaN

The Commission approved EUR319 million in direct Austrian aid for Infineon in Villach to move power GaN manufacturing from 200 mm to 300 mm wafers, serving applications including AI, energy infrastructure and robotics.

The state-aid decision supports investment; it does not mean the capacity is operational. Commitments include ecosystem collaboration and skills development. A non-confidential decision will be published under SA.113427, with construction and production still to be tracked.

North Carolina’s governor and attorney general addressed Duke Energy’s large-load tariff proposal: grid-cost protections have advanced, but new generation costs and customer-provided clean energy remain concerns. Commission approval is still pending.

For compute projects, securing power involves who funds new generation and grid investment, not just substation capacity. These are policy demands and a pending proposal, not an effective nationwide charging rule.

SK hynix reports Q3 results and longer-term capacity agreements

SK hynix reported preliminary Q3 revenue of KRW104.6155 trillion and operating profit of KRW83.3338 trillion. It says agreements with 14 major customers cover over half of 2027–2028 capacity, and expects HBM4 shipments and revenue to exceed HBM3E in Q4.

The agreements improve demand visibility, but future capacity commitments are not current revenue and the HBM4 mix remains a forecast. Financial figures await final review. Today’s release cannot explain yesterday’s completed Korean market close.
